Performance Evaluation of Highway Infrastructure Using Image and Video Data
A current project, which began on July 2007. The goal is to create 3D models from monocular highway video.
The first year goals of this project are:
- Identify the road lanes and shoulder area from video data.
- Map the identified image features into a 3D model.
- Render the 3D model as a virtual reality playback on a workstation, such as a browser plugin.
- Render the 3D model in an immersive visualization environment, such as that available at LITE.
